Why pain becomes chronic
Osteoarthritis, tendon and ligament injuries, and spinal disease alter movement biomechanics: the body shifts its weight to protect the painful area.
When a joint, tendon, ligament or the spine hurts, posture and gait change to avoid the pain.
That protective posture keeps the fascia — the connective tissue that wraps the muscles — under constant strain.
Sustained tension forms trigger points: painful muscle knots you can feel under the skin.
Over time this loop feeds chronic pain and limits mobility — and the same chain occurs in horses.
An observation-based approach applies to animals of any size, from cats to horses.

A real story
Leita was referred with a cruciate ligament injury in her right knee. She was limping and had lost muscle mass in that leg.
Her first gait evaluation with Tendiboots™ (October 2025) confirmed the initial diagnosis. By then, Leita was already walking well and had regained the muscle in that leg.
Tuina, tuning fork, acupuncture, Chinese herbs and an improved diet. At the first visit, her human family learned the right massages and how to apply the tuning fork to tight muscles.
Leita runs happily, pain-free, has regained her muscle and keeps a healthy weight. All without surgery: treatment and her human family's daily work.
Story, name and images shared with her family's permission. Every patient is different; results vary.
